Name:

Eponymous Character - DECIMA. (dess-e-mah) I have chosen this name because it is orginal, distinctive and unique.

Type of Crime Drama:

Series/Serial hybrid because each episode is self contained, however there is an on going narrative which is revealed fully at the end.

Characters:

Solo, Troubled hero, the main character is damaged by her past however it makes her a stronger and more motivated detective.

Structure of Show

Serial, it will develop slowly over a number of episodes, and the big reveal where everything will be understood is at the at.

Typical Narrative

My crime drama will be about a woman called Lily Fox who's child was kidnapped, her child is only 3 years old. Lily was unable to report her childs disappearence as she is on the run from the police herself for the murder of her husband, who was infact abusing her, which is why she killed him. She joina a private investigative force in order to solve crimes to uncover where her child may be,  however the rest of her team are not aware of this, as she told them she joined for the good of solving crimes. Lily renames herself 'Decima' so she is unable to be tracked by the police. Even the audience are unaware of her missing child at the beginning of the show, however over the series she starts experiencing flashbacks wish are visable to the audience, they begin to be quite vivid to start with, however towards the end of the series there is a full flashback which explains everything. The team end up in Devon for the last episode, because Decima has been recieving phone calls from an unknown source about a child being heard crying from underneath the ground , the rest of the team were relectant to going to investigate because Devon was so far away from their base, but Decima insists. When they get to their destination, Decima is kidnapped and taken to the underground destination,

Young adults, women, men. I think this Crime Drama will appeal more to women, because stereotypically men prefer   (A,B,C1, C2, D,E)
